Happy 4/13!

Happy 4/13, Everyone!

For those of you who aren't aware, April 13th is somewhat of a holiday for a certain fanbase. I started reading the webcomic “Homestuck" back in high school. It was still a  fairly small comic at that point, so reading a few pages a day was nothing compared to the 8000+ page beast it is today. Author Andrew Hussie started the comic on April 13th if 2009. I followed its updates regularly until the day it “ended” on April 13th, 2016. This date has even further significance in the context of the story as well, as the numbers 4,1, and 3 appear consecutively throughout it.

Some of you have heard of Homestuck before and some of you haven’t. Those that have know that there's a bit of a negative connotation to being associated with it due to the younger half of the fanbase being… pretty crazy.  Those that haven't: look out for those Homestuck kids- They're crazy.

If you want more info about Homestuck, or want to know why I love it and why its special to me, let me know and I can do my best to answer your questions. You can find the comic in its entirety on their new domain at www.Homestuck.com or you can listen to the fan-made “Let's Read" on Youtube by Content Creator Voxus! (Which is amazing and they actually got Dante Basco to voice the character that was based off of Rufio from "Hook"- one of his many iconic characters)

If you're wondering why there's quotations around “ended" in reference to the comic ending, there's a few reasons. Yes, the comic is over. We think. Andrew told us it was over, but we’re skeptical. He's pulled things like this on us before. In addition to our collective conspiracy about the comic being over, there is a game that has been released called Hiveswap that takes place in the same universe as Homestuck with some recognizable characters, but is otherwise its it's own whole new story- one that we anxiously are awaiting the second act to be released for.

I hope this helped answer a few questions, and please have yourselves a WONDERFUL 4/13!
